Position Summary
As the Underwriting Manager for Cyber & Tech Insurance, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the underwriting process for our client's cyber and technology insurance products. You will be responsible for developing and executing underwriting strategies, managing a team of underwriters, and ensuring the profitability and growth of their cyber and tech insurance portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber risks, technology trends, and the ability to navigate complex insurance scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of underwriters specializing in cyber and technology insurance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures to effectively manage risk and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Analyze and evaluate complex cyber and technology risks to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Oversee the underwriting process for new businesses and renewals, ensuring accuracy and consistency in risk assessment and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCU, ARe) preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of underwriting experience in cyber and technology insurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

- Deep knowledge of cyber risk, technology trends, and insurance principles.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
