Job Overview:
- Advise plan sponsors and financial advisors on ERISA compliance, plan design, and reporting for DB and DC plans
- Focus on testing, Form 5500, loans, distributions, and plan design support
- Handle client meetings in-person and via phone
- Provide guidance on plan operation and document updates
- Ensure compliance with IRS and Department of Labor deadlines for qualified retirement plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer excellent customer service and resolve client issues quickly
- Assist with plan design, documentation, and compliance tasks
- Conduct annual testing (ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, etc.) and benefit calculations
- Prepare and review Form 5500, PBGC filings, and actuarial reports
- Coordinate loan processing and help clients meet regulatory deadlines
- Ensure data security and confidentiality for all client information
- Support internal teams in managing a large client portfolio
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; math-related field preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience in ERISA-compliant retirement plans
- Experience with Cash Balance Plans preferred
- Familiarity with actuarial certifications (QPA, QKA, CPC) and exams a plus
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and financial data analysis
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
