They are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Legal and Compliance Officer to join their team. In this role, you will ensure the company's operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of the compliance framework, managing legal risks, and advising on corporate governance matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies to ensure alignment with current financial regulations.
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of matters, including contracts, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits, recommending solutions to potential compliance issues.
- Manage regulatory inquiries and examinations, coordinating responses with relevant departments.
- Oversee compliance training programs and serve as a point of contact for compliance-related queries.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations, advising on necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or professional qualification in compliance or law is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal and compliance role within the Swiss financial services sector, with a strong understanding of FINMA regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss financial laws and regulations, including AML, KYC, and corporate governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to Swiss regulators, particularly FINMA, and managing regulatory inquiries and audits.
- High level of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to ethical conduct.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and fluency in German and/or French would be an advantage.
