A rapidly growing venture debt firm in California is looking to bring on seasoned originators to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and qualify leads for venture-backed companies as potential clients.
- Meet with prospective clients to assess credit risk and business opportunities.
- Negotiate and propose financing transactions, resulting in signed agreements.
- Participate in due diligence and compile comprehensive reports on potential transactions.
- Present due diligence findings to the Investment Committee and address related queries.
- Maintain ongoing relationships and monitor the financial health of assigned clients.
- Foster new and existing relationships with venture capital firms for mutual business benefits.
- Participate in regular committee meetings to review credit risk and proposed financings.
- Manage restructuring and distressed situations for portfolio company clients.
- Attend industry conferences to promote the company's business.
- Stay updated with industry publications and trends.
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience (preferably in venture debt space)
- Strong track record of sourcing deals
