Position Summary: We are currently supporting one of our major clients, a leading German energy and trading firm, in their search for a skilled IT Auditor (m/w/d) to support the Audit team in assessing, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems and controls, with a particular focus on trading tools such as ENTRADE and ETRM. This role requires fluency in both German and English and a strong technical background in IT General Controls (ITGC). The role can be conducted almost entirely remotely from within Germany, with travel to our client's headquarters in BadenWรผrttemberg once per month.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct IT audits focused on assessing the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGC) related to security, change management, operations, and access management.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of controls within trading systems such as ENTRADE, ETRM, and other relevant energy trading platforms, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations teams, to identify risks, assess controls, and recommend improvements.
* Develop and execute audit programs, including identifying key risks, performing testing procedures, and documenting findings.
* Ensure adherence to best practices in IT risk management, governance, and compliance.
* Report audit findings to senior management and provide actionable recommendations to improve systems and controls.
* Stay updated on the latest developments in IT risk, cybersecurity, and energy trading technology trends.
* Participate in special projects and investigations as required by the audit department.
Requirements:
* Fluency in German and English is essential, both written and spoken.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGC) and familiarity with audit frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO27001, or similar.
* Experience with trading tools such as ENTRADE and ETRM is required.
* Understanding of energy trading markets, regulatory compliance, and trading processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex IT systems and processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Certification in IT audit (CISA, CISSP, or similar) is a plus but not mandatory.
