An elite trading firm is looking to bring on Senior Linux Engineer to their global systems engineering team.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and maintain their bare-metal UNIX servers
- Participate in the globalization of their UNIX systems, reducing redundancies, and implementing improved processes, systems, and documentation
- Automating manual processes, while collaborating closely with other infrastructure engineering teams
What you'll need:
- 6 years of experience in Linux engineering
- 4+ years of experience in Python scripting
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Expertise in performance tuning, kernel module development and tuning with a focus in bare metal environments.
- Expertise in networking and hardware a plus
- Ideally with a background in trading, or in working within a latency sensitive environment.
This role must sit in the firm's Chicago office working in a hybrid capacity of 3 days in office per week.
