This client is a premier private equity firm managing our fourth fund, specializing in investments across business services, healthcare services, consumer, and industrial services sectors. With $500M in AUM, they are committed to creating value and driving growth in our portfolio companies through strategic investments and operational excellence.As a PE Associate, you will be integral to the investment team, contributing to all aspects of the investment life cycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and exit strategies. The role requires a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in our target industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities within business services, healthcare services, consumer, and industrial services sectors.
- Due Diligence: Perform comprehensive financial, operational, and strategic due diligence, including building financial models, analyzing market trends, and assessing competitive landscapes.
- Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions, including valuation analyses and scenario planning.
- Investment Committee Preparation: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for the investment committee to support decision-making processes.
- Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio company management teams to implement growth strategies, operational improvements, and value creation initiatives.
- Market Research: Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning relevant to our investment sectors.
- Networking: Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry professionals, advisors, and intermediaries to support deal flow and investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
