Selby Jennings is working with a Utility company that is looking for a portfolio manager, that would have the luxury of remote work. Their trading business unit serves as the central access point to the energy markets, actively participating in key European markets and international energy exchanges. They manage our energy portfolio, trade renewable energies to support the energy transition and engage in forward-looking topics such as hydrogen, smart & digital trading, new supply contracts, and renewable energy management. With an international team comprising employees from over 30 nations, our presence spans four European locations.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Analyse the long-term renewable portfolio for power and guarantees of origin and define the portfolio strategy and target transactions.
- Structure and price long-term power purchase and sales agreements for Germany in close cooperation with Originators and Quantitative Analysts.
- Understand embedded options and their implications for valuation and hedging, while monitoring market developments and fundamentals relevant for pricing/ hedging PPAs.
- Support the development of IT tools for pricing and portfolio management and ensure that deals are captured in relevant systems.
- Liaise with the Risk department regarding reporting requirements, risk KPIs, and performance measurement.
