Title: Production Underwriter
Location: Remote
Our client is looking to add Production Underwriters to the team! You will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with agents, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the profitability and expansion of existing business within a specific territory. Ideal candidates for this role will have at least five years of experience as well as a strong background obtaining new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generates premium quotes based on underwriting guidelines within their authorized limits
- Determines eligibility for potential policyholders and establishes pricing for new policies, renewals, and endorsements
- Reviews and evaluates accounts, making decisions to accept or reject
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with agencies
- Addresses the needs and concerns of agents and policyholders
- Manages the growth of new business increasing profitability
