A growing financial institution is looking for a Risk Management Specialist to manage regulatory exams from start to finish and help address regulatory findings, such as Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs). This high-visibility role involves working cross-functionally with senior management, segment risk, independent risk management, and audit teams to ensure regulatory compliance. The specialist will work closely with regulators, including the OCC, FRB, CFPB, and FDIC, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate regulatory exams: Manage the entire process from initiation to completion, coordinate meetings, and handle follow-up requests.
- Issue escalation and resolution: Identify potential concerns, escalate them to management, and assist in coordinating resolutions.
- Regulatory findings remediation: Work with business partners to address MRAs and track progress using the Archer GRC tool.
- Reporting and research: Produce reports for the Board and executive management, and conduct ad hoc research to support Corporate and Reputation Risk programs.
- Process improvement: Identify and implement improvements for exam management and MRA remediation processes.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-5 years in Risk, Audit, or Project Management, with a preference for regulatory exam management experience.
- Tool proficiency: Experience with the Archer GRC tool.
- Skills: Strong time-management skills and a proven track record in regulatory exam management.
