As part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Asset Raiser to join our team, focusing on the UK and Nordic markets.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Asset Raiser, you will be responsible for driving capital raising initiatives across the UK and Nordic regions. Your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and other high-net-worth individuals. This role is pivotal in expanding our investor base and securing significant capital commitments to support the continued growth of our fund.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capital Raising: Lead the capital-raising efforts in the UK and Nordics, identifying and engaging with prospective investors, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing investors, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
- Market Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy for the UK and Nordic regions, tailored to the unique investment landscapes and investor preferences of each market.
- Investor Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to potential investors, articulating our fund's strategy, performance, and competitive advantages.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the investment and research teams to stay informed about the fund's strategies and performance, ensuring accurate and effective communication with investors.
- Due Diligence: Manage the investor due diligence process, providing detailed information and responses to prospective investors' inquiries.
- Networking: Attend industry conferences, roadshows, and events to expand your network and identify new business opportunities.
- Reporting: Regularly report on capital-raising progress, market trends, and investor feedback to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in asset raising, business development, or investor relations within the hedge fund or asset management industry.
- Proven track record of successfully raising capital, particularly in the UK and Nordic markets.
- Deep understanding of the institutional investment landscape and regulatory environment in these regions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with sophisticated investors.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in another Nordic language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK, Nordics, and occasionally other regions.
