About the Role:
Our client, an innovative hedge fund, are seeking a Quantitative Software Engineer. This role will see you developing advanced ETL pipelines to integrate and test complex datasets for the commodities desk. Collaborating with quantitative researchers and data engineers, you'll drive the architecture, deployment, and management of cloud systems with the AWS team to enable the exploration of large-scale alternative datasets.
The Software Engineer will also extend, support, monitor, and debug the existing trading and research infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation alongside researchers and support engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of data and finance in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in Python's numerical libraries - NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib etc.
- Knowledge of AWS.
- Database knowledge (e.g., SQL).
- Development practices such as version control with Git, unit testing, etc.
- Quantitative thinker and mindset.
- Great team player and collaborator.
