Role: Sr. Underwriter - Financial Institutions
Location: Remote, USA
- Underwrite within the Financial Institutions vertical to deliver target New Business, Renewal Retention, and Loss Ratio goals
- Help standardize the decision-making process from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint to decide on best processes
- Work hand in hand with the sales team to ensure the best possible outcomes and help to attract new clients and retain existing customers
- Deliver actionable underwriting decision-making and process improvement proposals
- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver key inputs into guidelines and underwriting, coverage, and pricing strategies
- Create and lead special underwriting projects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with Management or Professional Liability
- Understanding of key P&C lines plus desire to learn new lines
- Strong communication skills to articulate underwriting decisions and thought process
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create effective relationships with both internal and external partners
- Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments preferred
