They are seeking a Linux System Administrator to join our Server Reliability Engineering team, responsible for innovative processes and tools for our Linux-based trading platforms and High Performance Computing Environment (HPC). You will be working directly with their trading teams and various other engineering teams to ensure their infrastructure is operating to it's fullest capacity. Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance the firm's Linux and HPC infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot performance issues in Linux servers.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of Linux servers.
- Participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts.
- Communicate with trading teams and core engineering.
- Stay updated with HPC, storage, and GPU computing technologies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in advanced Linux environments.
- Proficient in automation and monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of Linux OS, Intel-based hardware, and server components.
- Skilled in Python and Bash scripting.
- Knowledge of Linux networking and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of parallel file systems, batch systems, and high-performance networks.
- Familiarity with VAST and Weka storage solutions.
- Understanding of trading infrastructure and low-latency systems.
