Background
An Operational and Financial Executive with at least 20+ years work experience with at least 10 years in management consulting experience in all phases of industry including manufacturing, distribution and services. Background should include either ownership or C-Level experiences in the Middle Market with significant exposure to restructuring, turnarounds, bankruptcy, refinancings, operational improvement and litigation support. Possession of leadership skills to manage a diverse team that includes analysts, directors and other staff with specialized skills on a project basis. Proven ability to interface with business owners, private equity and other investors, bank and non-bank lenders, employees, accountants, attorneys and other interested parties of distressed situations. A CPA and/or CTP would be helpful.
Duties:
* Managing assignments requiring financial analyses and operational assessments
* Conducting due diligence, vetting business plans and developing strategic alternatives
* Supervising the preparation of 13-week cash flow projections and integrated financial statements
* Drafting, participating in and leading client reports and presentations and related meetings
* Interacting with clients and their lenders, attorneys, M&A advisors and other parties-in-interest, at all levels
* Managing expectations of all constituents
* Ability to travel and be proactive in providing leadership in stressful situations
* Managing and mentoring junior staff
* Active participation in selling process for potential new clients, including:
o Research and preparation of pitch materials/presentations
o Participation in sales calls and interviews
o Preparation of proposals and engagement letters
* Practice development
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree or certification preferred
* Background in restructuring, turnaround, litigation support in an advisory capacity
* Strong analytical, accounting and financial modeling skills
* Understanding and proven ability in the application of Activity Based Costing
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
* Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgement
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to work individually and within a team in deadline-driven conditions
