Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Deal Origination: Actively identify and source high-potential investment opportunities across Southeast Asia, with a focus on companies founded by North Asian entrepreneurs based in the region. Build and maintain a robust network of founders, industry leaders, and co-investors.
Due Diligence & Investment Evaluation: Lead the due diligence process for potential investments, including financial modeling, market research, competitive landscape analysis, and risk assessment. Develop investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee.
Portfolio Management: Work closely with portfolio companies to add value post-investment, providing strategic guidance, operational support, and assisting in scaling the business. Maintain regular communication with portfolio founders and help drive key business milestones.
Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior leadership in shaping the firm's investment strategy and focus areas, particularly on Southeast Asia and North Asia founders. Contribute to the development of market insights and trends that influence the firm's long-term vision and decision-making.
Industry & Market Expertise: Stay on top of emerging trends and sectors in Southeast Asia and North Asia. Lead thematic research on high-growth industries (e.g., technology, fintech, sustainability, healthtech, etc.), and help identify sectors and companies with high growth potential.
Investor Relations & Networking: Build relationships with limited partners, co-investors, and industry stakeholders to support fundraising efforts and collaborate on deal syndication.
Team Development: Mentor junior investment professionals, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the investment team.
