Associate, Asset Management
A private equity firm specializing in real estate investments is looking for an Associate to join its Asset Management team in Atlanta. The firm focuses on opportunistic debt and equity investments and has invested over $5.5 billion, managing nearly $3 billion in assets across various strategies and asset classes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute asset management strategies to enhance value and profitability.
- Prepare quarterly reports and custom presentations for stakeholders.
- Create detailed financial projections using Excel and Argus.
- Review and negotiate joint venture agreements, loan documents, leases, and other relevant documents.
- Analyze financial models, statements, budgets, appraisals, and property- and fund-level reports.
- Present recommendations to senior leadership and implement approved plans.
- Collaborate with property managers and equity partners to prepare operating and capital budgets.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to stay competitive and maximize returns.
- Conduct property visits for inspections, due diligence, market research, and meetings with stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CRE equity asset management across multiple asset classes.
- Proven success in managing CRE equity investments.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Argus.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with platforms such as CoStar, RCA, Yardi, Entrata, and RealPage.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
