Job Title: Controllership Consultant
Job Description: My client is seeking a highly skilled Controllership Consultant to join their team and provide expert guidance to private equity (PE) portfolio companies. In this role, you will assist with controllership activities, serve as an interim controller, and offer specialized advice on ASC 606 revenue recognition regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support PE portfolio companies with day-to-day controllership functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Act as an interim controller, managing financial operations during transitions or vacancies.
- Provide expert guidance on ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring compliance and proper implementation.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with some as a controller or a similar role, preferably within PE-backed companies.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 regulations and revenue recognition principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
